This is the iPad book I prefer for parents
There are only 2 iPad books out (that I know of) specifically targeting special needs, and both are valuable for different reasons. I really like this version for parents who are thinking about iPad or who are just about to implement it. I would prefer it to be in color, so if that is an issue for you, there is an ebook version of iPads for Special Needs as well. I agree with the previous reviewer- you will laugh as you read this and learn about how to go about using an iPad. As a parent of a special needs child, I found myself nodding my head in agreement a lot. I have had an iOS device for a couple of years (started with an iPod and now have an iPad that I use with my own son on the spectrum, as well as my speech and language students). I learned some tips/tricks for the iPad from this book, as well as learned about adaptive tools, and apps of course. There is a companion Facebook page for this book too, with blog posts and tips here and there. A worthwhile read for parents just beginning their love affair with the iPad!
