This book is a great resource for those new to the iPad as well as those who have used the iPad for years. I have been using an iPad as a speech pathologist for 18 months and Sami’s book has been very helpful for troubleshooting problems and as a resource for parents and other professionals. 

Thank you so much for the wonderful book about iPad use for special needs kids. I have already begun reviewing it and it is a wonderful resource for me and will be a wonderful resource for my colleagues and parents of some of my students. The practical nature of the content is immediately useful. Please tell your cousin how great it is to have his experience with the iPad to guide new users (like me) and provide new ideas for those who are already incorporating that technology into the learning environment for their students.

I especially like the way Sami emphasizes that the iPad is a part of the educational or treatment program and not the only necessary component. And I love the practical applications, screen shots, and anecdotal stories of Noah. So much good stuff!

I wish Apple gave a copy of this book out to everyone in the special needs community that purchases an iPad. This book will help a lot of people – from how to get started to what devices to use with the iPad. The book was written by an amazing special needs father that knows from personal experience the benefits that the iPad can bring to families. 

As a special teacher who uses the iPad as her main resource this book has been my Bible when I need to troubleshoot an immediate problem. Now I carry two items to work, my iPad and “Getting Started: iPads Special needs.
